Asian Cuisine



                                                                     A TASTE OF ASIA

        General Characteristics of Asian Cuisine

  • Rice, noodle, fresh vegetables, seafoods, dolci, snacks, soy bean and soya bean products are used in Asian cuisine.
  • Asian cuisine have tropical fruits.
  • Sauces of it are sour and sweet.
  • Meals of it are light and healtier.
  • You couldn't cut it which food was served because this fact is shame.
  • Foods are cooked for the most part.
  • Metods of cook of Asian cuisine are boiling, sauteing, steaming.
  • Dietary habits are different everywhere.
        Asian cuisine is from East Asian and Southeast Asian countries.
  1. East Asian countries are Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
  2. Southeast Asian countries are Vietnamese and Thai.
                                                                     EAST ASIAN


         Chinese
         Meals of Chinese cuisine consist of carbohydrate, vegetable, meat and fish.It is classified by its    origin.An example is Cantonese cuisine from the south.This cuisine' chef's is't frying products and      doesn't use a lot of sauce.Szechuan and Hunan cuisine are from the west.They usually use spicier        recipes.

         Japanese
         Japanese care cooks presentation, use of spices.They have staple like rice or noodles.People in       there use wooden chopsticks to eat.Some Japanese cuisine are sashimi, tempura, sushi and                   sake.Sake is a alcoholic drink.It is made from rice and alcohol.

         Korean
       Garlic and chili peppers predominate in Korea.Korean cuisine soybeans and fermented foods.For     example kimchi.Kimchi is made from Chinese cabbage, fermented red pepper and vegetables.In          Korean cuisine chopsticks, spoon, stainless steel dishes.Their special drink is soju.

                                                                  SOUTHEAST

         Vietnamese
         In Vietnamese, sweeter tastes and herbs predominate.The north has  classic spicy Vietnamese          food like pho noodle dishes.Pho noodle is made from rice.Their important produces are herbs,            fresh produce and dipping sauces.

          Thai
          Cuisines in the south of Thai have curries made from coconut milk and fresh turmeric.In the         northeast, lime is very important.Rice and noodles  are popular staple.Their favorite is a Pad               Thai.Unlike other Asian cuisines because Thai food is eaten with a fork and spoon when others are     eaten with chopsticks.
